Beer Around Town

I just got an email from the folks at Eastburn letting me know that the upcoming Beer Belly Dinner with Lucky Lab still has tickets available. I normally don’t pass on my press releases, the few I do are usually only for stuff I think is really exceptional, so take note. Eastburn has been putting together some incredible opportunities  for craft beer lovers with their Beer Belly Dinners. Craft beer is really a whole new beast when paired well with good food. No, I’m not talking about putting a lemon in your hefe or scarfing down a CJ’s Six Dollar Burger so you have a solid drinking base for the night ahead, we are talking good food here people. If you don’t believe me go read The Brewmasters Table by Garret Oliver, then attend one of these Beer Belly Dinners as a reward for finishing the book, a whole new appreciation for beer and food may result.

Starter:

Gruyere Popovers with Oregon Honey
Served with Zinger Ginger Beer
Appetizers:

Banana Leaf wrapped Adobo Seasoned Black Cod with
Julienned Vegetables and Fresh Thyme Beurre-Blanc.
Served with Triple Threat Nitro IPA

Pan Seared Sweet Thai Chili Glazed Pheasant Breast with
Asian Pear Slaw.
Served with Noble Regard.

Entrée:

Smoked Wild Boar Chops with a Cognac and
Pomegranate Glaze.
-Rutabaga, Butternut Squash and Parsnip Hash with
Neuske Applewood Lardons
-Brussel Sprouts Sauteed in Duck Fat with Toasted
Hazelnuts.
Served with Bourbon Barrel Aged Red Ale

Dessert:

Pumpkin Flan with Stumptown Porter Caramel.
Served with Brown Brown.
